One of my earliest pop culture memories was watching Titanic in theaters. I was in elementary school, and it seemed like everyone in the world was talking about this movie. So we went to go watch it, and all I remember is the supreme discomfort of watching the car scene with my mom and aunt seated next to me.

What does this have to do with science? Something, probably. But the main reason I'm talking about it is because this summer, I learned that I am old. For Tiny Matters, our intrepid intern Lilley Halloran explored what's been going on with the remains of the Titanic, and I learned that she was born after the Titanic movie came out. I didn't think that was possible, but here we are. Time marches on, young becomes old, and the formative media of your youth becomes passing references for a new generation.

But I am so excited for this latest episode of Tiny Matters because it is so, so fascinating. Lilley went all in on the ecology of shipwrecks, and it's so cool. Listen to this episode to learn
